Ruthie Bolton professional portrait

Be Bold. Be Mighty. Be You.

Born in McLain, Mississippi, as one of 20 children, Ruthie Bolton learned early that greatness isn't given — it's earned through faith, perseverance, and an unwillingness to quit. Growing up in poverty, she found her escape and her purpose on the basketball court.

Her talent and determination carried her to Auburn University, where she became one of the most decorated players in program history. But Ruthie's story was just beginning. She went on to represent the United States in two Olympic Games, winning gold medals in both 1996 (Atlanta) and 2000 (Sydney).

As a founding member of the Sacramento Monarchs in the WNBA, Ruthie brought her fierce competitive spirit and leadership to professional women's basketball. She was named a WNBA All-Star and became one of the most beloved figures in the sport.

Beyond athletics, Ruthie is a celebrated author of multiple books including “Gal: A True Life” and “From Pain to Power,” a courageous memoir about surviving domestic violence. She is a sought-after motivational speaker, mentor, and the creator of the “Aim High” Social Emotional Learning Program.
